William
J. (Bill) Page
Senior Technical Specialist
Bill has over 24 years experience in
the research and development field
of the air pollution control
technology. His time in the industry
has included a large number of both
laboratory and field projects
related to the support of coal-fired
power generation. He has performed
measurements and data analyses on a
large variety of research programs,
including particulate mass and
particle size determinations,
in-situ fly ash resistivity,
air-toxics and sulfur oxides
determinations in flue gases. Bill
has also participated in measurement
programs where novel techniques to
measure particulate and droplet
sizes after wet scrubbers were
utilized. His varied
responsibilities have included
testing and equipment preparation,
specialized testing equipment design
and construction, calibration,
measurements, data reduction,
reporting of results and site
liaison.
Bill was a vital part of the team
operating pilot scale combustion
facilities in support of the power
industry, including emission control
technologies and clean coal
technologies. His participation in
test programs for the EPA, DOE, EPRI,
and a large variety of commercial
clients included test planning and
preparations, a leading role in the
operation of the facility, testing
supervision, and data reduction.
Other testing program experience
includes coal blending studies, coal
and biomass blending studies, tests
of novel pilot scale control
devices, and specific pollutant
reduction strategies.
He is a senior level technology
specialist at the Mercury Research
Center, located at Gulf Power’s
Plant Crist. Bill is instrumental in
the operation and maintenance of the
facility, co-ordination of test
programs, calibration and
maintenance of the Mercury and other
CEM systems at the facility, data
acquisition, and data reporting. |
