Senior Technical Specialist
Charles has over 30 years experience
in pollution control technology
research. He has worked on many
pilot scale and full scale projects
for EPA, DOE, EPRI and private
utilities. He has experience with
many laboratory projects involving a
wide variety of projects in the
pollution control field. Also,
Charles has designed and built
specialized test equipment for use
in the laboratory and field. He has
expertise in gathering, management
and analysis of large data sets.
His varied experience includes
operation, maintenance, calibration
and design of equipment used in the
environmental research field. He is
very knowledgeable in the
electrostatic precipitator field
including ESP operation, electrical
characterization, ESP controls, and
ash resistivity measurements. His
experience includes ESP emissions
measurements involving cascade
impactors, Method 5, Method 17,
Method 29, SO2 and SO3, and
Multi-metals trains. His experience
also includes mercury measurements
with semi-continuous analyzers
utilizing both wet and dry chemistry
as well as Appendix K carbon traps.
He has also gained unique experience
making measurements on high
temperature and pressure gasifies.
Charles has managed both field and
laboratory projects. He has been the
onsite manager of projects for the
removal of SO2 and mercury. His
responsibilities have included
overseeing the move and installation
of large pieces of equipment used in
full-scale testing. |
